1947 Mercury Coupe (American model)

Powertrain:
350 short block Chevrolet V-8 engine, overbored .030" and fitted with a L-82 Corvette hydraulic camshaft, HEI ignition, Holley aluminum intake manifold, and 650 c.f.m. Elderbrock 4 barrel carburetor.
700R transmission
9" Ford traction-lock rear axle, with Posie’s leaf springs,
S & S fenderwell headers, Dynomax mufflers and custom 2.5" diameter exhaust system with Megs chrome tips, supplied by Minute Muffler
Mustang II front-end with power rack, installed by Arbuthnot Motors

Suspension:
60 series Goodyear radials on the front; 70 series Goodyear radials on the back - mounted on 15 inch chrome Smoothies wheels, from Softy’s Speed Shop

Body:
Body modifications include removing the hood and trunk ornaments, remote key access. Bumpers, chrome trim, and body mouldings were all done by Riverview Plating.
New safety glass, rubber mounts and door seals.

Interior:
Bucket seats with built-in shoulder harnesses came from a Satellite Sebring Convertible (recent upgrade)
Road tech gauges with custom mounting plate
Vintage Air Conditioning (to be installed soon)
’98 Mustang red paint finish, by cousin Tom.
